The Challenge:
Making Mental Health Support Accessible

When BEAM moved online during the pandemic, the team realized that making research-based mental health support accessible to busy parents required more than simply recording sessions. They needed a digital experience that was engaging, relatable, and easy for families to use in their daily lives.

Modernizing Video Content
The original clinician-led videos provided critical early access, but a polished, dynamic upgrade was key to keeping parents engaged and expanding the program’s impact.

Expanding Program Reach
Without a streamlined way to deliver content beyond their initial audience, BEAM faced challenges connecting with more families who could benefit from the program.

Simplifying Complex Lessons
Turning research-based materials into relatable, easily digestible guidance for busy parents was essential to deepening impact and encouraging ongoing participation.

Full Hearts Lab needed a strategic partner to reimagine BEAM for a digital-first world—and they found one in TaleWind Digital.

Animation Snapshots:
Making Mental Health Concepts Relatable

We created vibrant, family-friendly animations to transform complex topics into engaging, accessible moments.

Our Approach:
Turning Research IntoReality

1. Smart Content Design for Busy Parents

We started by exploring different video delivery options and landed on a hybrid format: clinicians on-screen + animated visuals to aid understanding.

This balanced professionalism with visual warmth (capturing kids’ attention too!).

2. Simplified Storytelling & Amplified Impact

We helped transform 24 sessions into 27 punchy, parent-friendly videos, scripted for clarity, warmth, and expertise.

Then storyboards were created to help make in-app navigation easier.

3. Flawless Production Across Provinces

We managed remote and in-person shoots in Manitoba and British Columbia, creating unified filming standards for a polished, cohesive experience.

4. Animation That Speaks to Families

The TaleWind team then designed vibrant, family-friendly animations to act as visuals. This made complex mental health topics relatable and easy to grasp.

Results: Impact That Scales

Families Reached (2024): 120 enrolled

Projected Families (2025): 600+ across Manitoba and BC

New Initiative: LightBEAM app launched

Future-Proofing the Program:

The modular video library also positions BEAM to expand into new topics and audiences easily, supporting sustainable growth without needing a complete overhaul.

Client Voice

“It was wonderful to work with [TaleWind] to bring our vision to life. We had struggled with self-designed videos for years, and it made such a difference to have a team of professionals across all elements—from conception, scope, scripting, visual design, and animation. The team was easy to communicate with, provided great feedback, and was flexible to our occasionally changing needs. We would absolutely work with TaleWind again and recommend them to others!”
